Natural Head Lice Removal is available call 212-759-5200
Well acclaimed universities and research teams have documented the
resistance that lice developed to the most commonly used treatments in the
market such as RID, NIX and LINDANE. A study published in the British
Journal “Medical and Veterinary Entomology” noted that scientists blamed
permethrin in particular for the head lice resistance they found. “The results
suggest that resistance to pyrethroids has developed rapidly among head lice
since permethrin was introduced.
Furthermore, flimsy plastic combs that come with over-the-counter kits
sold at major drugstores can't effectively work through hair, and don't remove
the nits, only making the problem worse.
Even more alarming is the fact that the major prescription shampoos and
treatments normally used to treat head lice are extremely toxic, thus presenting
a major health threat to over 12 million children each year, and are effective
only 65% of the time they are used.
None of these pesticidal products are safe to inhale, ingest or get in the
eyes.

Licenders Shampoo works on lice because of a special enzyme known as
protease.
Protease enzyme is produced naturally by arthropods as a means to open
their exoskeleton.
The Licenders’ Product Line contains Citronella Oil, which is one of the
essential oils obtained from the leaves and stems of different species of
Cymbopogon.
Citronella oil is a renowned plant-based insect repellent, and has been
registered for this use in the United States since 1948.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency considers oil of
citronella as a biopesticide with a non-toxic mode of action. Research also
indicates that citronella oil is an effective repellent for head
louse.

CLINCAL TESTING: Repellency of citronella for head
lice:Hebrew University Medical School, Jerusalem, Israel
BACKGROUND: Head lice move easily from head to head. The
lack of safe effective repellents leads to re-infestation.
OBJECTIVES: To test the efficacy of a slow release
citronella formulation as a repellent against the head
louse.METHODS: 103 children were treated with the
citronella test formulation and 95 with a placebo.RESULTS:
A significant difference was observed on the children treated with the test
repellent.CONCLUSIONS: Use of an effective repellent could
significantly lower incidence of head lice re-infestations, which would lower
expenditure on lice control, and the time spent on treatment and removal of the
nits.
